Attention men of FBC family!  Are you interested in becoming a better husband, father, friend, co-worker, church member, servant, leader, son, and the list goes on?  The natural response is "Of course I do but where do I start!"  There is good news!  You start by being conformed to the image of Christ.  God's purpose for every Christian is that he may develop into Christlikeness, or godliness (Romans 8:29). But how can we be like Jesus, the Son of God? We find the answer in 1 Timothy 4:7 which says, "Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness" (NAS). It is possible for one to discipline himself through his own personal commitment, but there are few who accomplish this successfully. Therefore, most people have someone who will come alongside them to encourage them in their Christian walk and also hold them accountable.
