We continue to offer in-person and online worship during this time of dealing with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.  We are now also offering our morning Sunday School classes.  In order to maintain our safety protocols, we are offering our classes on a rotational basis.  You can find when and where each class is offered at the bottom of this page.  All safety protocols listed below for worship also apply to our Sunday School classes.

We are also able to offer childcare for ages Birth-PreK4 at our 10:30 AM gathering only.  You can find out more details by reading this important information.

As you sign up, please indicate from the drop-down menu the number of people who will be sitting with you.

There is also a waiting list sign up should either service limit be reached. You can add your name to that list in case space opens up at the service you want to attend.

Please read the following carefully so you will know what to expect should you choose to attend.

One new development in what you can expect is how Governor Roy Cooper’s Executive Order #147 will impact our worship gathering.  This order requires that face coverings be worn in public where social distancing is not possible.  While we arrange our seating with a minimum of 6 feet of distance, we also realize that in coming and going you may be closer than that distance.  In an effort to honor this new order while still giving you freedom of choice, we are encouraging everyone who is physically and medically able to wear a face covering to do so.  We are not requiring that you wear one.

Our guiding principle in this is from Philippians 2 and 1 Corinthians 8, which encourage us to consider others above ourselves and to not be a stumbling block to others.  Wearing a mask might not be convenient, but doing so does not compromise any teaching of God’s Word and is not an immoral act.  So, we want to try and follow the directives of our government officials and medical professionals as well as consider the needs of others in our church and community.

If you are unable to attend one of our in-person gatherings, we hope you will join us on Facebook for a livestream of our 9:00 am gathering.

SHOULD I ATTEND?

·     If you feel unwell or have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, for the safety of others we ask that you avoid attending until you are symptom free.

·     If you are in an at-risk group, either over age 65 or with compromised immunity or other underlying health issues, the CDC recommends that you avoid gathering in large groups, but if you do attend, you may want to take personal precautions such as wearing a mask.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IF I ATTEND?

WHAT WILL BE DONE BEFORE I ARRIVE?

Our facilities (door handles, chairs, sink faucets, toilets, etc.) will be disinfected prior to each service.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

You should arrive no more than 10-15 minutes prior to the beginning of your worship service. We want to limit the amount of time you are in the building and we also need time to clean between services. The doors to the Worship Center will open 10 minutes prior to the start of each service.

WHERE WILL I ENTER?

Please use the front doors if entering the Worship Center and use the front door or the side glass door when entering and exiting the Chapel Building.

WHERE WILL I SIT?

The Worship Center will be set up with groups of chairs distanced 6 feet apart for your safety. There will be groupings of various sizes, so your family can sit in a grouping that meets your needs (i.e. if your family has 4, sit in a chair group of 4, if there are 2 of you, sit in a chair group of 2, etc.).

HOW LONG WILL WORSHIP LAST?

Each gathering will last around one hour.

WILL THERE BE CHILDCARE?

Yes.  We will offer childcare for ages Birth-PreK4 at our 10:30 am gathering only.  For important information about childcare,  CLICK HERE

WILL BATHROOMS BE AVAILABLE?

Yes. The bathrooms in the Worship Center will be available for use and will be cleaned after use and between services. Parents, if your child needs to use the bathroom, we ask that you accompany them.

WHAT ABOUT HANDSHAKES AND HUGS?

We realize that these interactions have become a normal part of church life, but right now we want to respect everyone’s personal space and health by not engaging people in that way. We will encourage you to give air high-fives and distance hugs for now.

WILL I BE ABLE TO GIVE MY OFFERING?

Yes. We will not pass an offering plate, but we will have a box set up for you to place your offering in.
