INDOOR WORSHIP

SUNDAY, MAY 31

9:00 AM & 10:30 AM

We know that you have missed the opportunity for in-person worship, Bible study, and fellowship.

We also recognize that we are all at different places in how we are dealing with this difficult season.  Each person is in a different circumstance which forms their feelings and opinions on how they should move forward during this time of “reopening” that we find ourselves in.

That is why we have chosen to take a cautious, phased approach to getting us back together for in-person gatherings.

We understand that some may not be able or ready for gathering in groups indoors, and we respect that.  Others are ready to take that next step.  No matter where you are on the vast spectrum of opinions and actions in response to this situation, kindness and respect toward others should lead us in dealing with those who believe differently from ourselves, thus giving us the opportunity to show those around us what drives our actions – the love of Christ in us.

With all of that in mind, we believe it is time for us to cautiously and safely move into the next phase of in-person gatherings.

This week, we will move indoors for smaller worship gatherings.  We will offer two worship times, 9:00 am and 10:30 am and each gathering will be limited to 75 people, including children.

Because there will be limited seating, you will need to register in order to attend.

Moving indoors will bring different dynamics than we had outdoors, so please read the following carefully so you will know what to expect should you choose to attend.

SHOULD I ATTEND?

·     If you feel unwell or have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, for the safety of others we ask that you avoid attending until you are symptom free.

·     If you are in an at-risk group, either over age 65 or with compromised immunity or other underlying health issues, the CDC recommends that you avoid gathering in large groups, but if you do attend, you may want to take personal precautions such as wearing a mask.

·     If you are not able or ready to join us for indoor worship this week, we will offer online worship once again at 9:30 am on Facebook and YouTube.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IF I ATTEND?

WHAT WILL BE DONE BEFORE I ARRIVE?

Our facilities (door handles, chairs, sink faucets, toilets, etc.) will be disinfected prior to each service.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

You should arrive no more than 10-15 minutes prior to the beginning of your worship service. We want to limit the amount of time you are in the building and we also need time to clean between services. The doors to the Worship Center will open 10 minutes prior to the start of each service.

WHERE WILL I ENTER?

The front doors of the Worship Center will be the only doors open, so please enter there.

WHERE WILL I SIT?

The Worship Center will be set up with groups of chairs distanced 6 feet apart for your safety. There will be groupings of various sizes, so your family can sit in a grouping that meets your needs (i.e. if your family has 4, sit in a chair group of 4, if there are 2 of you, sit in a chair group of 2, etc.).

HOW LONG WILL WORSHIP LAST?

We are planning to keep it around 45 minutes.

WILL THERE BE CHILDCARE?

No. Families will stay together for worship.

WILL BATHROOMS BE AVAILABLE?

Yes. The bathrooms in the Worship Center will be available for use and will be cleaned after use and between services. Parents, if your child needs to use the bathroom, we ask that you accompany them.

WHAT ABOUT HANDSHAKES AND HUGS?

We realize that these interactions have become a normal part of church life, but right now we want to respect everyone’s personal space and health by not engaging people in that way. We will encourage you to give air high-fives and distance hugs for now.

WILL I BE ABLE TO GIVE MY OFFERING?

Yes. We will not pass an offering plate, but we will have a box set up for you to place your offering in.
